Photobucket Issues.
Photobucket has deleted a few of the large PS images in the gallery, so it will be offline for up to a day (or two.. or three, or four..) while I transfer all the images over to my webhost and edit the URL’s in the pages. The pictures apparently violated their terms of service. I don’t care, I have backups of the pictures, but the hassle of moving them has pissed me off slightly. There’s something like 74 pictures, which means there’s that many URL’s.. still, at least it happened now and not later.
Oh, and I’m going to add a stat counter to my website.. so I can see how many people are visiting my pages. =)
A longer update will be posted later tonight.
Busy, busy.
I haven’t updated for AGES.. tsk tsk. I’ve just been really busy with important stuff like PASSING SENIOR VCAL! Can I get a wOOt?! =P
Even though we haven’t finished the year fully, and we haven’t got our certificates yet, Gentil and I know we’ve passed. How incredibly awesome. What I find even more awesome is that it’s the first thing that either of us have accomplished in six years. The coincidences between the two of us are scary, almost. Very cool, though. So yep, we have a bunch more Cert III Math work to do, but if we finish all that, we’re in the clear, baby! Two weeks, and we’re through. Thank the heavens.
Today in class we started painting canvasses for the rec area in building R. We’re working on a togetherness type theme, sharing and caring and such, so I found a picture of two hands clasped together. I’m going to glue it onto the canvas and then paint over it. The part I love the most though, is the background.
I mixed blue and red paint together to get purple, and I ended up with this really dark purple, and then this lighter kind of maroon purple. I painted it in vertical stripes, and the two colors just sort of blend together. It looks awesome, and I’m sure when I’m done I won’t want to leave it at TAFE. Hopefully I can do another one, maybe as a Christmas present for someone.
Speaking of Christmas presents, I ordered Gentil’s the other day. *grin* He’s bugging me about what it is, but I won’t tell him. He’ll love it though, I hope. If he doesn’t, I’ll.. do something. *coughs*
I’ve been playing Valhalla a little more of late, even getting Gentil into it a little. LaNaya started her guild, yay. Sanctuary of Dreamers. Members aren’t a worry, I’d prefer if the guild stayed as just her, actually. That way she doesn’t have to deal with guildmembers, and she still gets her title.
It was incredibly hot today. Luckily I prepared for this, and wore a dress (*gasp*), lots of sunscreen, and open toe shoes (*gasp*). Yes, I wore a dress and open toe shoes. Gentil said I was gorgeous. =) I kept checking myself out in mirrors, rofl. I’m insane. I got whistled at, too! When Gentil and I were walking to his place. I was all high and happy for a little, it was a nice ego boost. I feel self conscious in dresses, and the one I wore today was rather low-cut. For me, anyway.
Meh, it’s so late already. Ciao, time for bed.
My weekend was awesome! How about yours?
I got back from Gentil’s a few hours ago, and I thought I would post about my weekend while I took a break from writing my HTML/CSS presentation. First of all, quote of the weekend (from me of course =P):
“I’m so smart I confuse myself.” I said that as an excuse for my blondeness, but I don’t think anyone fell for it. Second of all, Gentil has decided he wants to open his own school. The classes? Tee hee:
- The Art of French Kissing
- The Basics of Making Out
- The Beauty of Sex
- Fellatio101
- Cunnilingus in Six Easy Steps
He’s terrible. None of those were thought up by me, either. *coughs*
We watched Saw II on Saturday night.. it was awesome. Makes me want to go and see Saw III sooo bad. I <3 the Saw movies. I had a fantastic weekend, minus the rather odd moodswing on Saturday night.. *shakes her head* Oh, and we got work done, too. So there, Chris! We don’t -only- make out! =P
That’s actually all I can think of right now.. *sigh* Back to the tutorial.. which I’m going to put up on this site when I’m finished. I’ve always wanted to write one (which is partly why I chose to for my end of year project), so I figure I may as well put it on my website.
OH! On Tuesday, I hope to buy my own domain name! *crosses fingers* I hope I can.. I so badly want my own domain. It’s so fetch! *coughs* That was NOT a Mean Girls quote.. really.. it wasn’t. *coughs again*
Alrighty, ciao people. (Which reminds me, I still haven’t redone the site.. *mutter* December, I promise.)
Dana Glover - It Is You (I Have Loved)
There is something that I see,
In the way you look at me,
There’s a smile, there’s a truth,
In your eyes.
What an unexpected way,
On this unexpected day,
Could it be this is where I belong,
It is you I have loved all along.
There’s no more mystery, it is finally clear to me,
You’re the home my heart searched for so long,
And it is you I have loved all along.
There were times I ran to hide,
Afraid to show the other side,
Alone in the night without you.
But now I know just who you are,
And I know you hold my heart,
Finally this is where I belong,
And it is you I have loved all along.
There’s no more mystery, it is finally clear to me,
You’re the home my heart searched for so long,
It is you I have loved all along.
Over and over I’m filled with emotion,
Your love, it rushes through my veins,
And I am filled with the sweetest devotion,
As I look into your perfect face.
There’s no more mystery, it is finally clear to me,
You’re the home my heart searched for so long,
And it is you I have loved,
It is you I have loved..
It is you I have loved all along.
Random Stuffs
Today was a pretty blah day, which I expected. Sleep deprivation does that sometimes.
Perks:
- I saw a guy driving a tractor this morning while I was on the bus.
With a stubby cooler in his hand. With a beer in the stubby cooler. At
7.50am. *blink* - Crazy guy was on my train this morning. Aside from the staring at me,
it made for an interesting trip. He kept stroking the pole next to his
seat.. I so badly wanted to film him on my phone! - I managed to get to the library and borrow some books on breast cancer.
- My scrapbooking attempt was so pretty. =)
- We finally started trigonometry in Math. (Sort of, we’ll be properly
starting next Wednesday.)
The major perk though, was probably this:

Here’s a closer view:

Gentil drew it on my wrist in Maths. Sweet, yes? I thought so. It cheered me up, and I still smile whenever I catch a glimpse of it.
I’m going to post lyrics to a song I’ve had stuck in my head all day in a minute. Damn song..
Well..
It’s 12:40am, and I still can’t sleep. And I have an early start tomorrow, scrapbooking with Carol in the morning, and then Math with Penny in the afternoon. What on earth is wrong with me? Meh.
Gentil stayed over last night, which was pretty awesome, even though the kids harassed us a lot. Damn siblings. Ah well. What can you do? We had fun, anyway, and he didn’t mind. Thank god, because it’s not like I can change my family, nor would I want to.
I helped people on LEIA today, yay. =) Also, I gained the next ‘rank’ (level, basically) so I’m happy. And a propellerhead. Tee Hee.
I’ve joined like.. *counts* five layout competitions on HL, and I don’t think I’m going to win any of them. This is for a few reasons:
- The people on HL want PRO layouts. Must be PRO!!!1!! they exclaim,
while stamping their feet and demanding about ten different
contradictory things which will look awful together. - The people on HL actually -like- bad design. Seriously. A hard to read
layout with a shoddy picture and bad text is gold, baby! If you have
MS Paint and MS Frontpage, you’re all set! (Amazing how both of those
products are made by Microsoft, and both produce crap..) - That totally reminds me of a joke.. oh wait, getting off-topic.
- The people on HL like being difficult by deliberately requesting
things that are difficult. - The people on HL lie. They say, “Oh wow, a pro looking layout!” and
then you read their page and it says, “I haven’t found a layout that
has blown me away yet..” - OR, they say they’ll choose a winner on a specific day and then start
talking about how if they don’t get layouts they like, they’ll use the
money to buy a pre-made. (Sorry, but why not just buy a pre-made in
the first place? Like, duh.)
So, basically, the people on HL have been spoilt rotten. They have so many choices, so many good designs, that they must get over-excited and go blind. That’s the only possible reason they could have the layouts that they do. Although.. haha, I mean look at MySpace. *snicker* Some people..
Anywho. That was a rather long whine. Let’s move on. Oh yes, the joke! Here goes:
A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft’s electronic navigation and communications equipment. Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter’s position. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, and held up a handwritten sign that said “WHERE AM I?” in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window.
Their sign said “YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER.” The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how he had done it. “I knew it had to be the Microsoft Building, because they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer.”
All together now: “Ha ha ha ha ha ha!” I found it funny, anyway. As did Gentil. As should everyone. Because it is completely true.
I have a plan to get all my TAFE work done.
- WEDNESDAY
- finish computer work station poster
- contact person for interview
- create one IT brochure
- work on my HTML/CSS tutorial
- THURSDAY
- create one IT brochure
- complete the sphere worksheet
- complete the graphing work
- work on my HTML/CSS tutorial
- FRIDAY
- create one IT brochure
- complete “Technological Development..” sheet (only that side)
- work on my HTML/CSS tutorial
I figure I should be able to do that. Maybe. I’m going to try my very best. It’s not all that difficult, the work. It’s just so damn repetitive.
Oh, and I changed my mind about making little books to go with my presentation. I’m going to speak to Elena about getting a projector and setting it up on the computer at the front. That way I can simply put all the info on a webpage, and have it displayed at the front of the class. People can open it up themselves if they want to see a version right in front of them.
I figure I would just be wasting paper if I printed a book for each person. I mean, I’m not kidding myself about people actually being interested in my presentation; I know they won’t be. (Except maybe Gentil, but I think he thinks he has to be.) That’s why at the bottom of the information sheet I’m going to hand out (telling people what they need to bring and what I’m doing) it has: “P.S - I really want to pass Senior VCAL, so if everyone could please either participate willingly or skip class on Monday afternoon, that would be great!” Muahaha.
Wow, so this has turned into a really long post, huh? Oh well. I’m currently debating on whether I should try and get some sleep, or whether I should just stay up now. Considering I have Thursday off, I should probably stay up. I don’t want to risk sleeping through the alarm.
Tomorrow, I need to do the following:
- actually leave by 7.20am
- print out ONE copy of my information sheet
- get Frances to photocopy FIFTEEN copies of said information sheet (No
way am I paying for that.) - sit through scrapbooking
- sit through Math
- go to the library after school (I need a book on cancer, for my
NaNoWriMo novel, and I’d like to look up some poetry books.) - do homework
I was hoping to be able to spend some time at Gentil’s place, but alas, it shall not be. Perhaps this weekend, depending on how things at home go.
I wish LEIA forums would get more active. I think I’m addicted to helping people. I wonder if that even counts as a problem..
That reminds me, I need to change the layout of this site around. And get rid of the pink. I miss the blue, but I think I might actually go with a teal theme. I <3 teal.
Ciao. (ooh, maybe an italian theme.. I love Italy!)
NaNoWriMo Update
Well, unfortunately I won’t be uploading pictures of my new stationery. *sniffs* Damn camera. Anyway, maybe when the notebook is all tattered and written in, I’ll upload a pic then. For now, I want to write about my goals for NaNoWriMo.
My Goals for NaNoWriMo:
- write it all, in a notebook, with a pencil
- reach 50,000 words by the end of November
- actually write something that I can be proud of
- do it again next November
I know, not particularly spectacular. But still, they’re goals. Speaking of goals.. ugh. I have to write a HTML/CSS tutorial by next Monday, not to mention all the other work I have to do. *sigh* Stupid TAFE. I mean, I have some of the tutorial written already.. I guess it’s the actual presenting of it that I’m not looking forward to. Bleh. So for the next week, I’ll be focusing on:
- HTML/CSS Tutorial
- Computer Workstation Poster (just about done, really)
- I.T Brochures (What a load of crap this one is.)
- Some other assignment thing for Computers/WRS
Heh. TAFE is so fun. *mutters* I really don’t have that much to do, despite my whining. It’s just so boring and repetitive.
Currently, things at home are pretty stressful. Mum’s health seems to be improving though, which is the main thing. Everyone is getting on everyone else’s nerves though, and everyone is tense. Mum is sick of soup (and I don’t blame her - note to self, liquid diet not that great after all), and the kids are sick of never seeing Mum, being lectured by their aunty and having to listen to their big sister.
Oh, and Gentil and I discovered that if you buy a monthly Metcard, you can use it on weekends in all three zones, no matter what zone it’s bought for. Awesomeness.
Anyway, time to do some homework.
