*takes a deep breath*

Phew, I’ve been busy lately. Since classes started, it has just been flat out. I can’t believe the workload.. I mean, I understand that they’re trying to fit two years worth of stuff into one, but still. I’m enjoying most of my classes though, which is good. Chemistry and Biology are fantastic, Math is kind of boring right now but it will get better, Computing I haven’t been to yet as it’s just basic stuff, and Physics and Communication Skills just completely suck.

They’re both boring, I have no rapport with the teachers, and I just generally hate those classes. Luckily I may be able to get out of most Communication Skills classes, as I covered a lot of the modules last year. Also luckily (even more so) I only have to complete one module of Physics, then I can drop it if I wish.. do I ever.

As for people in the class, well I’m really happy with the mix of people. I won’t list them all here, lest they find this blog and read nasty stuff about them, but I will describe their various personalities and such. Most of the class seems really mature, after all they’re there because they want to be, not because it’s high school or something and they have to go. A couple of people are a little “clique-ish” but on the whole the entire class gets along, and everyone kind of mingles.

The mix of personalities is quite astounding, though. Everyone is so different.. I mean, sure we have a few people who are sporty, and a few people who are into computers, but even within those categories there are major differences. It makes for interesting classes. So far there don’t seem to be any bitchy girls, which is good, and it also appears that most of the people in the class have a significant other, which is good because the atmosphere isn’t charged or strained, but could also mean disaster if someone breaks up. We shall see.

Speaking of significant others, Gentil and I are still together, yay, and are actually in the process of cleaning out his back room so I can move in. “And there was much rejoicing.” I’m excited and a little nervous, but mainly excited. And so looking forward to living with him. I practically was anyway, as I was staying there every night after TAFE, but this is official. Yay! =) I’m hoping I can take Rylee, and if I can then we’ll get a kitten as company for her.

Also, we’re getting pink fish. Yes, pink fish! They’re very pretty. And pink. Tee hee.

My family isn’t really reacting very well to me moving out.. well my immediate family is okay.. but as for the rest, pfft. I actually got really annoyed today when a certain relative gave Gentil a lecture about something that had nothing to do with them. The hardest thing is seeing how it makes Gentil feel and then convincing him that they don’t mean it personally, it’s just how they will act now.

The girls turned 7 last weekend, I can’t believe how grown-up they are now. Complete little people, not just little babies or toddlers now. *sniff* Kind of sad. We gave them a party at the house, and I played games with all the kids, and they got presents and had cake and generally ran amok for the whole day. They enjoyed it, which was good. Gentil and I bought them helmets for their bikes, so that was also good.

Tonight I went to Amber’s housewarming, as she’s just moved to Sunbury. Gentil was also in Sunbury, but not with me. He was at his best friend Anthony’s Bucks Night. Apparently he was having a good time; I hope he did. My night was actually rather good. I was supposed to be taking Nicole with me, but she had to cancel (wedding stuff to sort out - it’s on the 24th!), so Karmen picked me up at about 7:40pm.

Then we headed out to Sunbury.. making a slight detour along the way.. to pick up guinea pigs. Yes, I know.. guinea pigs. They’re for the girls, and Mum asked me to get them. So I did. We eventually found our way to Amber’s, and I put them in a little box in her bathroom.. the poor things are probably deaf.. but anyway.

There were actually quite a few people there, in the end.. Amber, her sister Brooke, Kailee and her boyfriend, Adelle, Some other guy and girl, some other girl (friend of Kailee’s I think), Emily, Nick and his friend Lorenna (I think that was her name), Sylvia, Karmen, Nathan and Bryce. And me, of course. It was fantastic to catch up with Nathan and Bryce again, I haven’t seen them for about four years.

They’ve changed, kind of.. one would almost say they’ve grown up, but they haven’t really. Just gotten older. Nearly halfway to 40, as Bryce and I cried about while drinking champagne. I love champagne.. it’s pretty and sparkly, and bubbly.. and it tastes sweet, and you get to have it in a pretty glass and look sophisticated. Ha. Anyway, it was fun once I relaxed a bit and got up and danced.

Bryce and I have decided that we’re going to do something on the weekend between our birthdays.. mine is on the 2nd, and his (and Nathan’s) is on the 9th, and we’re both 20. So yep.. something. It’ll be cool to catch up with them again, I enjoyed talking to them tonight. Except for one memorable occasion, where I thought I was talking to Nathan, and I was talking to Bryce. They look so different now.. I guess four years would be the reason. He didn’t get insulted though, which was good.

Oh, and Bryce checks himself out in mirrors, haha! Same as me. On the subject of looks, I apparently look exactly the same as I did when I was in high school, because Nick recognized me straight away. He came over and gave me a hug and a kiss, which surprised me, I didn’t expect it from him. It’s been about two years since I’ve seen him though, maybe he missed me or something, haha.

He’s studying up in Bendigo at the moment, something about pharmaceuticals. I think he’s studying to be a chemist person. *shrugs* The music was loud, and I’m old, I think I heard about half the conversation.

So yep, tonight was good. I loved catching up with “the gang”, and I get the feeling it will happen again sooner rather than later. A life.. scary. ;)
