Oh, Fantastic! *

Today I received in the mail some very important documents.. as of today I am no longer known as Lisa Gibbons! That’s right, my name change came through and now I get to go through all of the wonderful rigmarole of getting all my details changed with the various places I deal with.

It is such a relief to receive the documentation after waiting so long, and I’m very pleased. Thrilled, even. This is something I have wanted and needed to do for years, and the fact that it has finally come about is very satisfying.

In other news, in about an hours time, I will have consumed a whole block of Malt Crisp chocolate. *dangles it in front of Gentil’s nose* Hehehe. =)

Alright.. I’m still working on updating the website layout and also finishing Emilia’s website for her. The gallery is giving me some trouble, so I’ve decided to go back to basics and try a really simple layout for the images.. hopefully that will work. Right now though, I am going to go and make some glossy buttons for my new layout in Illustrator.

Ciao.

* My brother would totally get the title.

Guilty as charged..

I haven’t written in this for SO long.. I actually can’t believe how long it has been. Two months.. and the time has both flown and crawled by. Classes have been very full on, and life in general has been a bit hectic. I think I might find it easier to write a list of things that have happened and then write more about the important stuff later on.

  • I went back on my medication, after getting very depressed for awhile
and skipping classes for two weeks. I missed out on a fair bit of
class time, but luckily I’ve managed to catch up.
  • I turned 20 on the second of May.. I am now old, and waiting for the
    grey hairs to show! =P
  • One of the guinea pigs died. One of Lamae’s children was a bit rough
with the poor thing, and unfortunately it suffered some injuries.
  • I put a white 30GB iPod on lay-by.
  • My loan was approved, and my laptop is waiting for me at the store. I
    am SO excited.
  • Uncle Andrew passed away on the sixteenth of May, after being
diagnosed with cancer and spending some time in hospital. It was quite
sudden, and to be honest I think I am still in shock. I haven’t cried
yet, and I haven’t really spoken about it to anyone.
  • I passed my first module of Chemistry, and I’m pretty sure I’ve passed
Introductory Maths, also. My Biology test is next week some time and
I’m sure I’ll pass that.. perhaps not with flying colours, but a pass
    at least.

I honestly think that’s everything.. still, day to day life is very hectic. The girls aren’t coping with Uncle Andrew passing away, and so they’re mucking up and being difficult about absolutely EVERYTHING. Even just getting them to eat, or brush their hair, or get into their pyjamas becomes a screaming match. Seven year old children should NOT know how to slam doors and yell obscenities.
