Video Ezy = Crap

I have been in the process of updating my webpages so they all work, and deciding exactly how to create my gallery, but I am going to take a moment to post about the crap I had to go through this evening, just to rent some lousy DVD’s.

First of all, my brother begged (and bribed) me to walk up to the nearest VideoEzy to hire some DVD’s. After much begging (and the promise of bribes) I relented. Before we left I called the store, and told them that I was an old customer, and that I had no idea about my password or anything. The guy I spoke to said I needed my license to verify that I was the actual person, and then they could give me all the information.

So. I walked up there, in the freezing oh-my-god-every-part-of-my-body-is-numb cold, and howling winds (I am NOT exaggerating here, I’m probably going to have an ear infection because of this fiasco), we spent ages picking out DVD’s (there’s a reason it’s called ‘picking’ - because when you’re picking stuff out, you’re picky.), and then we went to the front counter.

I told the chick what had happened, and she informed me that my card wasn’t for that store and I was going to have to join there. Now, I wasn’t exactly unhappy with that idea. The last store I joined with gave me crap about a DVD I -know- was returned, and besides I had like $15 of late fees. =D So re-joining was good. However. They need a bankcard as well as your license, for I.D.

So, we got them to hold the DVD’s for us, trekked all the way home, and got my bankcard, then trekked ALL the way back and -finally- hired the DVD’s.

I hate Video Ezy. Although, I will say.. they suck at keeping track of their customer accounts and goods.. which can be rather helpful, at times. Still, don’t you think that joining at one store within a suburb where there are -three- stores in total should grant you access to all three? I do. *mutter*

My ear hurts, my chest hurts, and so do my knees and ankles. And now I have a sniffle. On the plus side, there were these guys walking around in scary Halloween masks. They were awesome. =) Oh, and the lady at the milk bar gave us a free lolly! I felt like, eight, again. Hehe.
