I finally got the website finished, all the pages displaying correctly and such. It’s a relief to see it looking all pretty, with no 404 errors or odd coloured text. I love my website. =) I think the only reason I publish a blog online instead of in text files or Microsoft Word or something is so I get to have a pretty place on the internet. I actually had over 20 page views last week, which sort of confuses me. How are people finding the site? As far as I know, it’s not listed on any search engines. The only people who usually visit it are my boyfriend and myself. *shrugs* Doesn’t matter, I suppose.

I finished my Chemistry prac, thank god. I hate chemical equations. All those states and charges and everything, bleh. I hate working in tables, also, which is about the only downside to Chemistry. I found out that on Tuesday (the class I missed), we blew stuff up. I was SO disappointed, I would have loved to be there for that prac. Serves me right for sleeping in, I suppose.

We dissected the hearts in Biology, and it was as I predicted: awesome! I loved it. It’s amazing how much easier something is to understand once you’ve actually seen it in the flesh. We were able to put our fingers through the aorta and the pulmonary artery and everything. Plus look inside the ventricles and see the heartstrings and such. I thought the saying “tugging on your heartstrings” was just that: a phrase. Apparently not, we do actually have heartstrings. Their proper name is chordae tendenae, and they are quite tough for such flimsy looking strings. They’re attached to the atria-ventricular valves and the papillary muscles. The heart is amazing.

I’ve started thinking seriously about what to do next year, unfortunately ‘thinking’ isn’t the same as ‘deciding’, and I’m no closer to knowing where this course will take me. I’m considering several things, all science related, but I don’t think university is an option right now. I’m not going to commit several thousand dollars and 3 - 5 years of my life just to find in two years that I made the wrong choice. Hopefully I’ll make up my mind soon.. although I’ve noticed, things have a way of just working out for me when something is “right”.

Gentil and I sat looking through random pictures tonight and just laughing our heads off, seriously. It’s great to just relax and have some fun together, and since we have the same sense of humour we laughed at the same things, mainly. It was a lot of fun, and it reminds me of how important the small things are, things like just laughing with people. I think it was good for him too, seeing as how he got the bad news that his Uncle Egas (in Portugal) is dying. It was good to see him laughing and happy, seriously laughing so hard he was crying.. it took his mind off things.

Tomorrow I have to copy the info for DI’s race and class system and start putting it into a webpage, plus finish all my washing, plus do the DRABC flow chart. Those are the only three goals I’m setting for myself tomorrow, anything else is a bonus. The list thing doesn’t really work on weekends, so I’m going to leave it for weekdays only. Weekends should be relaxing and fun anyway. =)

I’m planning the next layout for this site already, hehe.. or perhaps I should actually get some layouts posted in the web design section? Hmn.. we shall see.
