Five Ways to Waste Time.
1. Imagechan - does this even need explanation? It may appeal to the lowest common denominator, but sometimes guilty laughter is the best kind.
2. I Can Has Cheezburger - HOURS WASTED. Srsly.
3. Twitter - there are so many funny people twittering lately that you have to really be careful that you don’t get sucked into reading ‘just one more’.
4. One Sentence - stories told in one sentence, duh.
5. Not Always Right - often hilarious insights into customer-staff relations.
Because I want you all to suffer as I have this evening, with the woes of procrastination and deadlines.
I think everyone knows how easy it is to get distracted by things when you’re on the computer, trying to do homework. Solution? Unplug the ethernet cable. Which is exactly what I’m planning on doing in about ten minutes, so I can actually do some work and not the pitiful attempts that I’ve been making all night. It’s just hard to get motivated sometimes; I’m sure once I begin I will be fine.
I did my interview for Journalism today, but I can’t get my dictaphone to work, so I will have to transcribe it after work on Wednesday. Luckily I don’t think I’m working this Thursday, so I should have most of the day to work out what I will keep and what I will discard. The final draft isn’t due until next Thursday, so it should be fine. A more pressing issue right now is finishing my short story.
I have the idea, a few ideas actually, but nothing that I’m really excited about writing. One of them is promising, and I did write a little bit by hand last night, but we’ll see how things go. I really hate having to submit our stories, knowing full well that we won’t receive marks for them until the end of the year. It doesn’t seem fair that we don’t know how we’re doing; what if we’re getting worse and not better?
Not that I think that would happen to me. That would be unfair, and - oh, wait. If that is going to happen to ANYONE in the class, I can almost guarantee it will be me.
I have been awfully slack about reading lately, and it’s beginning to annoy me, because I have three books sitting on my desk, waiting to be read. Every time I think, ‘Oh, I’ll be able to read,’ stuff happens. Like homework, or work, or birthday parties even. Sometimes I try to read before bed, but I find myself falling asleep two pages in, so reading in bed is out. I think the train is my best shot, when I can find a seat.
I’m rambling, I know. I’m trying to waste time so I don’t have to go and do homework properly. Sigh.

You know, I never really got into MySpace or Facebook - I have one of each, but they just don’t enthrall me, heh.
My tweets are in my sidebar. Well, my most recent, anyway. I’m thinking of making it my last three, but we’ll see. I love Twitter.. you don’t update often enough, missy! *poke*
